Divided Loyalties — explained by Walter Prossnitz π
The designer narrates his own game — 3:14, with sound
The narration is Walter's own recording, not a synthetic voice. The board
action is paced to his words: the colour wheel and the twelve stones per
round, then a bridge scoring, the green stone that serves both players,
and finally a red bridge cutting straight through a row.
Divided Loyalties — how it works
Silent, captioned, five languages — three lessons in under two minutes: a bridge scores · the green dilemma · Red + gets cut
1. A bridge scores. A row of three stones from your Colour + can be bridged — 1 point, 2 for a row of four.
2. The green dilemma. Green belongs to Blue + and Yellow +. The green stone Blue plays to finish its own row is the very stone Yellow then scores from.
3. Red + inside your row. Purple serves Blue + but also Red +. A red bridge through it cuts Blue's bridge, which greys out and stops scoring.
