Players take turns placing 18 polyominoes (shapes of 3–5 cells) onto the board (max. 11×11). Between the polyominoes, no more than 2 connected empty cells may be left.
The game is played over 6 rounds. In rounds 1–5 each player draws 6 discs from their bag and sets 1 of them aside in the stash for round 6. The remaining 5 are placed on the board in turn (Black starts).
Golden number on top: The golden side must always face up. For discs with two golden sides the player may choose.
Direction rule: The number on the opponent's last placed disc determines
the direction for your next disc (measured from your own ring):
• Even number → horizontal or vertical
• Odd number → diagonal
The distance is free to choose. The very first disc may go anywhere.
So with your choice of number you can influence your opponent!
If after placing there are 4 discs on a line (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) with 2 of each color, all 4 may be flipped. The disc carrying the opponent's ring is protected. Any distance between the discs is allowed.
After all 60 discs, each player has 3 moves to shift discs from empty cells onto adjacent free polyomino cells. Flipping is possible here too.
Whoever has the higher sum in a polyomino wins as many points as the polyomino has cells (3–5). For a supermajority (3+ discs in a 3-cell, 4+ in a 4-cell, 5+ in a 5-cell) there are 1, 2 or 3 bonus points.
